Need based business model and marketing of new it-system

The brief

BnearIT is an IT-consultancy that is developing a new service for their customers. The challenge BnearIT wants to tackle with you is: A better understanding of the customer value/needs that this kind of system would provide/meet, based on this also a business model for how this service could be designed and marketed and ideas for possible new revenue streams.

The background

BnearIT is an IT-consultancy that delivers the most modern concepts regarding system integration (to make different systems “talk” to each other and function as a unit) to their clients. BnearIT has offices in Luleå and customers in both the private and the public sector within the entire EU area. BnearIT is developing a new service for their customers which is based on several different components (in a travel situation these could be hotel reservations, billing, rental car reservation and a loyalty program) loosely connected through different services. This service has several advantages: It is easier and faster to adapt to the clients’ changing needs, it is possible to re-use investments in a different system, the ability to change a system gradually by replacing one component at a time, etc.
